I grew up in Dubuque, Iowa and have lived in Connecticut, Massachusetts and now Vermont.  I have 2 grown children, Sophia and Alexander. This is my 9th year at U-32 and I love it here.  I have always had a passion for teaching and have been doing so for the last 30 years.

My background is in the Performing Arts and I love to bring my movement knowledge into the classroom.  I received my BFA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and my MFA from Smith College. I am yoga certified and hold a Vermont State Dance Educator’s license PreK-12 grade.

I enjoy working with all the students in Aramis as team support for Daisy, Chris, Georgia and Abbey.  When not in Aramis Core, you can find me in the high school Performing Arts Department, on the U32 stage, choreographing, directing a play or musical for the middle school theater program, Stage 16, or teaching yoga.  I also enjoy being outdoors, swimming, cooking, baking, gardening and being a mom.

I grew up in Canton, Connecticut and now live in Montpelier. I originally came to Vermont as a college student. In 2017, I graduated from Saint Michael's College with a B.A. in History and Secondary Education and a minor in Spanish. After student teaching at Williston Central School, I began my career at U-32. I'm so excited to return for my second year at U-32 on Team Aramis!

This past summer I took a couple of graduate courses to begin working on my master's degree, spent time in Connecticut with my parents and brother, and enjoyed two fun trips to Maine and Cape Cod. I am looking forward to another great year with my students and team!

I live in Middlesex with my wife and two daughters.  I have been at U-32 for sixteen years, teaching for twenty-three and love working with middle school age students.  Outside of school I love to read, hike, paddle my canoe, and explore the outdoors. I have two cats that I like and tolerate in equal amounts.

I earned a B.A. in History from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and a M. Ed. from Union Institute and University in Vermont.  I also learned a great deal from my experiences as a grocery clerk, camp counselor, environmental educator, husband, and father.  I am extremely good at mopping floors.

This past summer I visited Europe for the first time spending ten days in Netherlands and France. I also took a course, visited family, and brought my daughter to her first year of college. I am looking forward to a great year with my students.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Plant and Soil Science at the University of Vermont in 2005. It was soon thereafter that I realized teaching children’s garden camp wasn’t enough, and I enrolled in the Master of Education program at the Union Institute and University in Montpelier. I am now in my 10th year of teaching. I feel privileged to have found a career doing work that I truly love.

When I’m not in the classroom I can be found digging, climbing, swinging, laughing, reading, splashing, jumping, or dancing with my three girls, among a myriad of other things!

I grew up in Hyde Park, Vermont and I now live in Montpelier. I graduated from Middlebury College in 2013 and soon after started teaching middle school mathematics. This will be my sixth year of teaching, and my third year at U-32.

In addition to teaching, I have many other interests and hobbies. My favorite activity that has taken over most of my free time is logrolling! I was on the club sport logrolling team at Middlebury and I missed it too much so I just had to buy my own log! I bought a synthetic log, called the Key Log, and I've been logrolling at a few lakes in Vermont all summer! I also love to be outdoors either hiking, running, or just hanging out in the sun in addition to some other creative ventures such as knitting, cooking, and even painting at times.
